Okeyos to Kenya

Who We Are

Chelsey and Evans have been serving in Ruidoso, NM since 2012, where Evans is currently serving as Youth Pastor at First Baptist Church. Chelsey and Evans now have two children, Kyler and Elaine.  The Okeyo’s have led several local, national and international short-term mission trips but feel God is calling them to step out in faith as long-term missionaries.

What We Do

God has given the Okeyo’s a heart for the Church and a heart for children living on the streets. They desire to see the Church in Kenya rise up in sound Biblical doctrine and missions, to reach Kenya for Christ--so that every person has an opportunity to see, hear and experience the love of Jesus Christ. They will be working with the International Mission Board (IMB) as Team Associates to church plant, train pastors, and minister to children living on the streets.

WhY we Do it

God is the answer and many are lost. Nairobi, Kenya is growing 2X faster than Houston, TX and it is estimated that by 2030 the population in Nairobi will be 12 million. Nairobi is comprised of 42 different tribes and a diverse international population. The opportunity to reach the nations through Nairobi is huge.
