Seasonal Changes

Hello Church family! As we move into a new school year, we also move into a new season with our church family. Wednesday nights will begin in September (the youth will start sooner). As we celebrate the retirement of Jim and Stephanie Jensen (and their 30 + years of ministry), we also look forward to the new ministry that is ahead of us. The church voted unanimously for Austin Cannon to come as our Youth Pastor (and he will also help with communications). We also voted unanimously for Lindsay Dukes to be our children’s director. Tim Ebert will be transitioning to full-time staff evangelist with FCA and will have an office at FBC Ruidoso. God is faithful and good! I’m encouraged in how God has led our Personnel team in this season of change. I’m also encouraged how the church has embraced our new staff members. Let’s continue to welcome them and join them in ministry to our children and youth. If God is prompting your heart to help minister to children and youth in a new way, please reach out to these guys and get connected.

This coming week we will kick off August with baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Prepare your hearts as we remember and reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins. We are building the whole service around celebrating baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

As I close, I want to borrow the words from the Apostle Paul to the Philippian believers. As he began his letter to the church at Phillipi, he wrote these words: “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.”
